I’m not sure if I should tell you this. I went back and forth for a while. But honesty has always been my policy, in my life and in my work.
I’ve decided that I want to get to know you and to let you know me.
So here’s my big secret:
I’m new to this business.
I don’t mean that I’m new to photography.
Back before everyone had cell phone cameras, I was hanging instant photos in my locker. In college, I took Photography courses alongside my Pre-med & Linguistics courses.
I was (and still am) completely fascinated by finding, shaping, and capturing light.
I mean that I’m new to photography as a business (with a license and a bank account and all the other things a business needs to run properly).
Because of that, I’d like formally introduce you to Golden Door Photography.
I call it my “baby biz” and I don’t think that’s a bad place to be.
Being new to business means I spend a lot of my time learning how to do things the right way.
Your happiness, your feedback, and your reviews mean everything to me.
They mean everything to the future of my business.
So yes.
I’ve been in business long enough to establish systems and checklists, but I’m new enough that I can fit you in and put you first. I’m cheap enough to give you an amazing deal (for now), but I’m expert enough at my craft to know that you’re getting an amazing value.
I could pretend that I’ve been doing this for a decade. I could try to play it cool. But I’d rather be honest. I’d rather you know exactly what kind of a business you’re working with and understand why that’s actually pretty great.
I may only have a few reviews, but I’m going to do my darnedest to make sure that every single experience with me is worthy of 5 stars.
I hope you’ll give this “baby biz” a try.
Best,
S
