When Alyssa and Carl told me they were hoping for a snowy engagement shoot, I was excited but also a little nervous. Not about shooting in the snow (which is a delight), but about coordinating our schedules with the notoriously fickle Boston weather. In the end, we picked a date in mid-February and crossed our fingers that the scheduled day would grace us with some flurries.
We met on the Longfellow bridge and wandered down the Esplanade to the Hatch Shell. As you can see, luck (or Alyssa’s awesome weather karma) was with us! A blanket of snow had covered the ground and fat flakes continued to fall throughout the afternoon.
This bold pair embraced the wild winter weather, trudging up icy steps, trespassing at exploring monuments, and holding each other close for warmth. The snow muted the colors of the city, making their sweet, effervescent affection pop right out of the photos.
There were cute boots, rosy cheeks, the Boston skyline, and a stunning couple! What more can you ask for?
