In a family photo session, I like to pretend I’m the boss. But when it comes down to it, the kids run the show. Their energy shapes where and how we shoot.
This sweet family took me to the North River Wildlife Sanctuary, where we walked through the woods, down a boardwalk trail to the river.
A certain gregarious little girl gave me a tour of all her favorite spots along the path and told me knock knock jokes of her own invention. And a certain curly haired little boy ran and followed his sister and laughed his head off as his dad raised him into the air.
And I got to share their in wild joy, at least for a little while.
